Will there be "baby boom" after the World Cup?

The euphoria that broke out in recent days in Spain due to the triumph of the national team in South Africa has unleashed passion, and not just soccer. Some predict that in nine months there will be an explosion of birth due to the World Cup celebrations. Will there be "baby boom" after the World Cup? Will football be able to increase the birth rate, to achieve what the baby check could not?

I remember that four years ago there was speculation about the same after the World Cup in Germany. A wave of births was expected nine months after the World Cup, but finally the forecasts were only in that and the Teutonic country was left without such a "baby boom."

However, in Spain football triumphs do seem to influence procreation. At the beginning of this year, births in Barcelona increased because of Barça, between 37 and 41 weeks after the success culé in the "Champions League". On that occasion he was "responsible" for the baby boom to Andrés Iniesta for his glorious goal against Chelsea that was worth the pass to the Champions League final.

In Spain many agree that the night of July 11, 2010 was not an ordinary night, but a historic night where the celebrations were given free rein. And that night has also had Iniesta a lot to see.

It is clear that football raises passions, both on and off the court. The euphoria of the hobby increases sexual desire. But in the year of crisis and in view of the end of the year the help of the baby check is over, can the overflowed passion for having left the World Champions more?

We will only have to wait nine months to know. If so, in the month of April next year, 2011, there should be a peak of births. And I think I know some of the names that will sound the most: Andrés, Iker, Xavi, David, Sergio….
