Tobacco smoke affects 700 million children, half of the world's child population

Yesterday was celebrated on World No Tobacco Day, on this day he has advocated for making public places 100% free of tobacco smoke. This is the only possible way to protect those who are not tied to smoking and especially children.

It is necessary to promote smoke-free spaces in all public spaces and even in the homes themselves. All smokers are aware of the dangers contained in smoking, but in addition, they should also be aware of the serious risks children face. Many smoking parents respect the rules of public places, instead, their homes are temples of tobacco smoke and their children indirectly smoke even more than they do. The World Health Organization indicates that some 700 million children, or what is the same, half of the world's child population breathes air contaminated with tobacco smoke, especially in homes. This data is enough to advocate for a clean home, where children can breathe without any risk to their health. Smoking parents should be responsible enough to take vice to a place where it does not affect anyone, although ideally they should quit smoking.

It is incomprehensible that despite the large amount of information offered worldwide and in all media on the serious consequences of tobacco, smoking continues, but more incomprehensible is that many parents do not seem to care how it affects health of their children.

Tobacco smoke can cause different diseases, respiratory, cardiovascular, cancer, etc., it is necessary to raise awareness among the entire population, their homes must be health temples for their children. Tobacco smoke is not just a nuisance, it is an attack on global health.
