Book Adoption and School: on the schooling of adopted children

In addition to being an act of love to which I will take my hat off all my life, adopting a child is a great challenge for adoptive parents.

With the intention of helping them, Beatriz San Román, adoptive mother of a girl born in Haiti, wrote a book called The adventure of becoming a family, a manual on the most common challenges faced by parents who are going to adopt or have adopted a son

The same author has just launched a new book called Adoption and School, a guide for parents and educators on how to handle adoption in the school setting. There are children who adapt very quickly, but in other cases the same situation does not occur. Keep in mind that they must adapt to a new environment and most of the time also to a new language.

One of the things that he emphasizes, that I liked very much in these times of early schooling is that the main thing is the incorporation of the child to his new family and that once he feels safe, a second stage is the incorporation to the school.

In the blog you can check the index and read some excerpts from the book, which by the way I was reading and I found them very interesting. If you want to buy it you can do it through the blog and they send it to you on delivery. It costs 17 euros plus 5 euros of shipping costs.
