Protest against the "Teen Mothers" program of Four

Teenage mothers is a reality show that has been on the air for two weeks. A few days ago Eva told us about him and Mireia deepened a little more with the first program talking about some advice given by professionals.

Following the contents of it has been created an impressive protest mobilization disseminated mainly via the Internet adding numerous detractors (among which I am) for considering that the contents of the program are not very respectful, both with babies and with their mothers who are also minors.

The protest is supported by various associations among which we can mention Breeding with the Heart or Breeding with Attachment and breastfeeding groups as important as those belonging to La Liga de la Leche in Spain or Alba Breastfeeding. The list increases day by day. Recall that the program has obviated the participation of parents, a fundamental pillar in the raising of a baby today and has changed the family environment that every mother and baby needs for another stranger with people who continually question the work of these mothers.

The program also has professionals with doubtful criteria. The advice these mothers are receiving are highly criticized (and criticizable) for being against the recommendations of the AEPED (Spanish Association of Breastfeeding) in reference to breastfeeding or for recommending, as could be seen on the second day of issue, let cry for almost 2 hours at a 18-month-old girl until exhaustion with the intention of learning to sleep alone.

There are people who will support this type of behavior, because they think that the end justifies the means.

I propose to perform an empathy exercise for that girl.

Leave what you are doing for 5 minutes and imagine a situation that causes you a state of anxiety and maximum stress that you can't control for almost two hours. Now think that it is a situation caused by someone's whim, because you want to get something with it.

It is probably a moment in your life that you will never want to live. If it were also broadcast on television, what would you think?

If you want to join this protest you can do it as follows:
