Today, July 26, Grandparents Day is celebrated, which how could it be otherwise from time to time they have a prominent place in our blog. The elderly have several special days, and such day as today grandparents are celebrated within the family in some countries.
It is the NGO Messengers of Peace who celebrates Grandfather's Day every July 26 since 1998. to pay tribute to those grandparents who perform proper care for their grandchildren because their parents cannot do it.
This year, Aquarius and the Messengers of Peace Association have made a television and online campaign to commemorate this special day. In the video that you can see at the beginning you can see dozens of older people singing and dancing on the rooftops of the city one of the best known songs of Spanish music.
With this, Aquarius and Messengers of Peace intend to pay tribute to the elderly population and raise awareness in society about the figure of grandparents so that they are valued and receive respect for their surroundings.
Following all this, Messengers of Peace has published a study that states that Eight out of ten Spaniards believe that, without the help of many grandparents, the current social model could not be sustained. Other important data of this study is that two thirds of Spaniards share the idea that the figure of grandparents is undervalued
