In homage to the Mothers in their Day, let everyone know that 'being a mother is a plus'

Ability to take risks, skills for leadership and teamwork, ease of interpersonal communications, do you think they are qualities to be valued for a job?

What if we add capacity for effort and sacrifice, and the facility to manage resources? It's easy to know who we're talking about, isn't it? well in addition to all that, Mothers are persevering and know how to motivate; and I would add that there are plenty of energy, imagination and ability to empathize. So we should not consider motherhood as a plus in work environments?

I loved finding this video of the Federation of Large Families of Euskadi (HiruKide) in Babies and More. It tells how a woman should 'turn' her Curriculum vitae when after a few years of absence from the labor market, you want to rejoin.

And well, it is worth remembering that those mothers who decide to dedicate themselves only to their children (among whom I have been), deserve recognition for taking on such dedication, and for dealing in the first person with education, emotions, nutrition and the development of the children, without delegating to anyone else that (if any) the school.

In general, all mothers, regardless of their employment status, deserve recognition for a job little visible but necessary; Little valued but very important for the present and the future of some people who are children today, but tomorrow will be part of the active fabric of society.

Today especially (but not in isolation) mothers We deserve a tribute that our children and our partners are already giving us. And the truth is that we don't need more, but a little more understanding from society would be fine.

Happy Mother's Day!
